That’s it! Super easy!!

How to Use

You can use this Cake Flour Recipe with any recipe that calls for cake flour. There is no big difference between the store-bought cake flour, and the homemade version except I think homemade always tastes better!!

I have heard if you grind your own flour everything tastes 100% better because it is fresh. I have heard that store bough flour is actually stale and tastes much blander then fresh ground flour because the store-bought flour has been sitting on the shelf for so long.. I haven’t actually tried grinding my own flour yet but it’s on my list!

Storing Tips

You are going to want to store your cake flour in a cool dark place in an airtight container. the goal is to be able to keep as much air out as possible because that is what makes it go stale. After you make cake flours it should store for months if stored properly.

If you are wanting to store your cake flour for long term storage, you will want to put it in a container that you are able to vacuum seal and get as much air out of it as possible. You will also want to add an oxygen absorber (like this one) to your flour mixture before vacuum sealing to absorb the oxygen, allowing your flour mixture to stay fresh even longer.
