Why Make This Recipe

Having a homemade ranch option at your fingertips is super convenient! No need to run to the grocery store when you run out, just whip up this recipe and you are good to go. It’s healthier then store bought and honestly tastes much better too!

I really like to pre-mix the seasonings ahead of time. This makes it that much quicker to make it when you are on a time crunch. I know we all have a lot going on so the faster we can make things from scratch, the more time we have to spend on other things. I prefer spending time with my family over making food from scratch all day long. That’s why I try to make it as easy as possible.

If you are having a hard time cooking from scratch because it all takes too long or you’re not sure where to start but you’re wanting to eat healthier… you have come to the right place!! I have created a FREE Pantry Guide to help you get started without the overwhelm and even if you don’t have very much time.

The Recipe

This recipe is the best and easiest to put together. It doesn’t require any weird ingredients, and you can double this recipe as many times as you want to fit your family’s needs. Let’s get mixing!

Ingredients – Dry Mix

  • 1 Tsp Dried Dill
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Parsley
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1/8 Tsp Paprika

Ingredients – Wet

  • 1 Cup Avocado Mayo
  • 1 Tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 Cup Water

Instructions

  1. Add all the wet ingredients to a small bowl.
  2. Mix thoroughly until combined.
  3. Add in your dry mix seasonings.
  4. Mix until well combined.
  5. Enjoy.

Notes

  • If it is a little too thick for your liking, add a little bit of water.
  • If it is too runny add a little bit more mayo.
  • If you want to be able to make this Ranch quickly and easily, I highly recommend pre-mixing the spices blend to make the process go faster when you are crunched on time and then storing it in an airtight container.
  • There are only 2 mayo options that I like and recommend. Chosen and Primal Kitchen.
  • This is the ONLY Salt Option that I recommend. Baja Gold Mineral Salt.

Storing Tips

When storing the seasoning mix and the ranch, you will want them to be in an airtight container. This is because if either one is exposed to air, it will dry out and get stale.

If you are wanting to make this super quick and easy, I suggest mixing the seasonings together ahead of time and then storing them in an airtight container until you’re ready to make your ranch. I like to use 2 different types of containers. I try to stay away from plastic because it has toxic chemicals that get absorbed into food. So, I try to stick with glass or mylar bags if you are traveling and need non-breakable container.

Here are my container suggestions for storing just the seasoning blend. Glass and Mylar bag. Your container will need to be 1.5 oz to fit the seasoning mix nicely.

When you are storing the actual ranch after it’s been mixed with the wet ingredients, you will need to store it in the fridge in an airtight container. I honestly just use a mason jar but you can also put a pour spout on it if you like runnier ranch. Pour top like this one.

Is building your ‘From Scratch’ Pantry overwhelming?

I can totally understand where you’re coming from. When I first got started, I thought I was going to have to throw out everything in my pantry and start over. Honestly, that’s not the case! Thank goodness it’s not because starting completely over seemed very daunting. Instead, I started small. You can too! I’ve even created a Pantry Starter Guide to help you.
